Circle Me Bert...

Little did we know when contacted about a month ago to provide golf tournament photos for a corporate event that we would experience a highlight of 10 years in our sports and event photography business! NetApp was hosting a golf tournament celebrating their 10 years in business and Bert Blyleven was the guest of honor. I'm sure most of you know that Bert was a former Minnesota Twins pitcher and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame this summer. He played on the 1987 World Series team, is a home town favorite and currently provides commentary for home Twin games. His "Circle Me Bert" campaign which raises funds for Parkinson's disease and other charitable organizations is wildly popular.

The golf tournament was held at Troy Burne in Hudson and the participants were employees, customers, and vendors of NetApp. Our job was to follow Bert and his driver around the course and photograph Bert with all of the groups playing in the tournament. We had a blast! THANK YOU Bert and NetApp for providing us with a memory we won't soon forget!

Senior Photo Shoot - Matt makes it easy...

What a great night for a senior photo shoot. The temperature was comfortable, the wind was calm and the light was perfect. Matt's casual and carefree attitude combined with his killer smile made this photo shoot easy and a lot of fun. The yard of his family home made a fabulous backdrop and we even got the family lab, Angel in a couple shots with Matt. After we got most of the photos taken, we got some action shots of Matt on his skateboard. Graduation's around the corner and then Matt's headed to UW-Madison in the fall. I have a feeling he's going to love it there!

Go Big or Go Home... HHS Girls Varsity Softball

Sports posters are a big hit with the high school teams. Last week the Hudson girls Varsity softball team had a fun photo shoot featuring a stretch Hummer limo from Cities Limousine. Watch for their poster around town within the next week or so. From what I hear, the team is off to a great start. Try to catch a game this season - the team's schedule will be on the poster. Next up this afternoon is the girls Varsity soccer poster shoot. I hear they've got a great idea brewing for their poster too.
